Who does the BJP follow on Twitter? Only Narendra Modi and Amit Shah
But the handle does not even follow Union ministers from the party.Amit Malviya, the BJP national information and technology head, was asked why the party handle follows only Modi and Shah. Till the publication of this report, Malviya had not responded. The report will be updated when he does. The Congress follows a wider array of people than the BJP.The account has 13 lists of groups that fit in different categories - AICC office-bearers, Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha Members, Pradesh Congress spokespersons and Congress chief ministers. It also includes media panelists, shadow ministry and state handles and frontal organisations. There are a few accounts followed by @INCIndia that seemed to be active during the 2014 election campaigns but have gone silent since. Apart from following Obama and Musk, @INCIndia follows Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, French Prime Minister Emmanuel Macron and the French, Dutch and Australian ambassadors. The Congress social media cell did not clarify why it does not follow the Prime Minister or any of the central ministers. The Congress and AAP are the only handles that follow fact checkers. The Congress follows Alt News and Boom Live, and the AAP follows SM Hoax Slayer.Trinamul Congress's handle, @AITCOfficial, follows 14 accounts. Most of these are of party MPs, chief minister Mamata Banerjee and the party's official mouthpiece, Jago Bangla. The CPM's handle, @cpimspeak, follows 75 accounts that are an assortment of different Left frontal organisations, senior comrades, ministers in Kerala, LeftWord Books and NewsClick. The Samajwadi Party Twitter handle follows seven accounts that include former chief minister and party president Akhilesh Yadav and three accounts of the media cell, the party account of Madhya Pradesh and their campaign handle Kaamboltahai. It also follows the ANI UP Twitter handle. The Bahujan Samaj Party handle, BSP4India, which follows 13 accounts has not been active since February 2014. It is yet to follow party president Mayawati, who recently joined Twitter. The Aam Aadmi Party's official Twitter account follows just over 300 people. Like the Congress, AAP follows a range of people, among them party legislators in Delhi and Punjab, some Delhi-based journalists and celebrities like singer-composer Vishal Dadlani who campaigned for the party. UK's NHS to incorporate ayurveda, yoga soon
"With the inclusion of a plan to promote traditional medicines in the 10-year plan of the NHS brought out in December 2018, active campaigns are under way to take the message of Ayurveda to the students and health workers of the UK. We are promoting traditional medicines as something that will complement the modern treatment methods not as a replacement to the latter," said Blackman. He added childhood obesity and smoking among pregnant ladies are the major areas of concern in the UK. Blackman said students and health workers would be sent to Kerala to be trained in Ayurvedic treatment regimen and lifestyle. The health workers will be trained under Purnarnava Ayurveda's Continuing Ayurveda Awareness Program (CAAP). According to A M Anwar, CMD of Punarnava, CAAP was introduced in 2006 for the promotion of 'Swastha Vritha' and 'Roga Vritha', two categories of Ayurveda treatment. Health workers and students from 22 countries have already availed of this facility, said Anwar. Dailyhunthttps://able2know.org/user/tussadusmed/

Pakistan seeks UN help to defuse tension with India
akistan foreign minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi sent a letter to secretary-general Antonio Guterres on Monday, seeking his help to reduce the tensions between the two countries, the Pakistan foreign office said."It is with a sense of urgency that I draw your attention to the deteriorating security situation in our region resulting from the threat of use of force against Pakistan by India," Qureshi wrote in the letter.India has rejected any third party intervention on the Kashmir issue and has maintained that all outstanding matters in Indo-Pak ties should be resolved bilaterally. India has also firmly told Pakistan that dialogue and terrorism cannot go hand in hand.Qureshi, in his letter, said the Pulwama attack on Indian CRPF soldiers was "ostensibly and even by Indian accounts" carried out by a Kashmiri resident. He said attributing the attack to Pakistan even before investigations was "absurd".Qureshi alleged that for domestic political reasons, India deliberately ratcheted up its hostile rhetoric against Pakistan and created a tense environment. He wrote that India has also hinted that it may abandon the Indus Waters Treaty, asserting that it would be a "grievous error". "It is imperative to take steps for de-escalation. The United Nations must step in to defuse tensions," Qureshi said.He said India must be asked to conduct an "open and credible investigation" in the terror attack."You may also consider asking India to refrain from further escalating the situation and enter into dialogue with Pakistan and the Kashmiris to calm the situation down," he wrote. The foreign minister requested that his letter be circulated to members of the UN Security Council and General Assembly.Talking to Pakistan's high commissioner to India Sohail Mahmood, who called on him in Islamabad, Qureshi said on Tuesday that Pakistan wanted peace in the region as unrest and chaos would not serve anyone's interest.Pakistan has repeatedly asked the UN to intervene in Kashmir. Former Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had also sought Washington's help, saying the US was the "most relevant" party to get involved in the Kashmir issue. The US, however, has time and again reiterated that it is for India and Pakistan to discuss and decide on the pace and scope of their bilateral relationship. Drought-hit Thar farmers will have to wait till April for relief work
After monsoon failure in September, people started facing shortage of drinking water and fodder for cattle. 'People of many villages have started migrating towards safer locations to get drinking water and fodder,' Mali said. Officials asked for crop assessment on September 15 last year and the report was submitted on October 15. The report revealed that Barmer received 128 mm rainfall this monsoon against the average of 275 mm. In 2,191 villages, crops have been fully damaged and 503 villages recorded 75% crop loss, the report said. In December last year, a central team visited the drought-affected areas in the district and took stock of the situation. On the basis of reports and recommendations, the state government in the first week of January declared 2,691 of the 2,775 villages in Barmer as scarcity hit. After the government's declaration, people were hopeful that relief work would begin soon. 'Government is preparing reports. When there is no rainfall, why doesn't the government start relief activities?' asked Mali. 'Now government has announced to launch relief from April 1. But how to manage our drinking water needs till then? Where will we go with our cattle? We are unable to cope up with the difficulties.' Barmer district collector Himanshu Gupta said the government has issued a circular announcing that drought relief activities would be carried out from April 1. He said government has planned two types of relief activities -- cattle camps and fodder depots, and sanctioned a contingency plan worth Rs 4.50 crore. 'Following the government's directive, block officials have been asked to send proposals regarding relief activities. The state government will sanction relief on the basis of the proposals,' Gupta said. Dailyhunthttps://justpaste.it/2o7et
Chitthiram Pesudhadi 2 movie review: Lacks freshness
Thiru (Vidaarth) is a hired killer and he along with his friend Salim (Ashok) tries to kill a financier Sadasivam, on instructions from Manikandan (Subbu Panchu), a business aide of Sadasivam. Kathir (Nandan), on way to meet his girlfriend Priya (Gayathrie Shankar) witnesses the crime. He saves Sadasivam and admits him in the hospital. Thiru goes into hiding. Meanwhile Priya loses her bag with valuables to petty thief (Niwas). Then there is Vicky (Ajmal), a musician who is looking to make quick bucks. And there's Durga (Radhika Apte) who for some reasons waits for a chance to kill her husband Sadasivam. What happens when their stories come in one-line forms the rest. From soft-spoken characters, Vidaarth has been promoted to a rugged rowdy with a heart of gold. All others like Ashok, Radhika Apte, Nandhan, Gayathrie, Ajmal , the girl who acts as a hooker and Subbu Panchu try to chip in their bit. But the problem with the film is its lackluster screenplay without any fresh elements infused in it. And yet another issue is its delayed release. Then then hyped West Indies cricketer Dwayne Bravo's cameo appearance in a dance number fizzles out when you watch it now. We have seen well-made hyperlink films in the similar genre like Maanagaram in the recent past. ... Dailyhunthttps://www.theverge.com/users/michealratees
3 private companies show interest in cable bridge construction over Hudco Lake
hile the bidding process has been successful, the proposed project is facing local resentment. Owners of 35 houses, some of which may have to be demolished to facilitate the bridge work, have submitted a petition to East Singhbhum deputy commissioner Amit Kumar.Sources in the road construction department said seven houses were likely to be pulled down to make way for the pylons, but 35 more would lie directly under the bridge, which residents feel is dangerous.Deputy commissioner Kumar played down the concerns raised on Saturday. "Whenever a big project comes up, a section of people is affected in some way or the other. The road construction department (read Jamshedpur division) will try to ensure that only a few houses are affected. We will compensate such house owners," he said.Biswambar Prasad Singh, a resident of Govindpur and among the petitioners, said they were not opposed to a cable-stayed bridge in the area."All we want is a realignment so that the bridge doesn't fly over our homes. The current alignment will not only deprive us of sunshine, but also leave us vulnerable to mishaps, like a cave-in," the resident said. The cable-stayed bridge will be set up at a cost of Rs 160 crore and at a height of 40ft over Hudco Lake, around 12km from the heart of the steel city.Modelled on Calcutta's Vidyasagar Setu, the bridge will be 500 metres long and flaunt a 500-metre approach road on both sides. The road will link the bridge to the 12km Govindpur-Pipla road, which in turn connects with NH-33 at Pipla. Dailyhunthttps://www.vox.com/users/kivonlewiss
