Central Plaza maintenance records not seized, shop owners approach registrar in Gurugram

Following the state registrar's order, the district registrar office had reappointed Sarika Jain, but records of existing governing body have not been seized to hand it over to Jain even as 30 days have passed. IS Yadav, district registrar, said, 'I have ordered governing body to provide all assistance to Sarika Jain to conduct audit. This is all important documents. The auditor should visit office of the governing body to do audit.' Yogesh Saini, complainant-cum-shop owner, said that Jain visited the governing body's office with appointment letter of district registrar but failed to get assistance. 'We have attached a copy of Jain's letter to district registrar office mentioning that governing body members did not hand over the maintenance records. As one month has passed, it is difficult to complete audit in remaining days. This is clear contempt of the order of the state registrar,' said Saini. 'We have been demanding from the governing body members to share maintenance collection details with all shop owners for almost six years. The present members of governing body are holding the posts since 2013 and never shared details in this regard,' said Saini in his complaint to state registrar. Central Plaza Mall is located along the Golf Course Road in Sector 53 and has as many as 60 shops. It is a ground plus three-storey establishment handed over by the builder to owners way back in 2007. In 2012-13, the actual shop owners and tenants had formed two different associations resulting into disputes, with some shop owners approaching registrar office to settle the matter. When asked about the issue, Ram Avtar Yadav, joint secretary of the CPOWA, said, 'I will not comment anything in this regard since the matter is in court.' There were two associations in 2013 - Central Plaza Owners Welfare Association and Central Plaza Occupants Welfare Association. On direction of the registrar office, the two associations merged into one as Central Plaza Owners Welfare Association. About six months ago, on order of the state registrar, the district registrar had appointed Sarika Jain as auditor but on January 9 it replaced Jain with another auditor Anil Diwan without consent of the state registrar office. Watch: Can you tell if your child is lying?

'And we found that those young children who have more advanced mind-reading and self-control abilities tell lies earlier and are more sophisticated liars. As it turns out, these two abilities are also essential for all of us to function well in our society.' It's not easy to tell when kids lie, but behind that neutral mask, 'the child is actually experiencing a lot of emotions, such as fear, guilt, shame and maybe a little bit of liar's delight.' Here are some figures as well, to think about. Lee shares, 'We found that regardless of gender, country, religion, at two years of age, 30 percent lie, 70 percent tell the truth about their transgression. At three years of age, 50 percent lie and 50 percent tell the truth. At four years of age, more than 80 percent lie. And after four years of age, most children lie. So as you can see, lying is really a typical part of development. And some children begin to tell lies as young as two years of age.' Woman assaulted in Bengaluru for feeding stray dogs

When her friend, Geetha, who tried to help her file a police complaint, went to drop her back home, they again attacked Sujatha. When Geetha tried to make a video of the assault, she too was allegedly beaten up. Sujatha, who lives with her mother, has been feeding stray dogs since 2014. Last year, the residents started opposing her practice, saying the animals had attacked children. The situation turned ugly when a domestic help, Latha, claimed that the dogs chased her and she fell, due to which she lost two teeth. She and her friends, allegedly abused Sujatha, and demanded Rs 5,000 as compensation, which Sujatha refused to pay. On March 6, the residents approached Ulsoor police and contacted BBMP to take away the dogs. BBMP officials visited the spot, and found that all the dogs had been sterilised, and so they refused to take them. On the same day, Sujatha spotted Latha's husband and his friends hitting some dogs with chains and stones. When she objected, she too was beaten up with the chain, she said. "Latha, along with her two female friends, abused and assaulted me. So with a few animal lovers and Geetha Mishra, I went to file a police complaint. They refused to register an FIR," Sujatha said. The cops reportedly told them that the issue would just lead to complaints and counter-complaints, and assured them that they would not be attacked again. "When we went to drop Sujatha to her house, we saw that the dogs were friendly. We were taking photos of the dogs when three women and two men came and attacked Sujatha. One of us called the police and escaped. We then went to the police station and filed a complaint," said Geetha. According to Sujatha, the assaulters live in MV Garden, and not Gupta Layout. She said she is being targeted for different reasons by the residents. She added that her complaint was registered only after she approached the DCP.
