Raj-DK bag Hindi remake rights
'Yes, Raj and D. K. have shown an interest in my film and bagged the rights,' confirms Sundeep, adding, 'Raj and D. K.'s Stree was a source of inspiration for us. And we can't wait for the audience to see what we have attempted in the supernatural genre.' Admitting that he got the shivers while watching his own film, Sundeep says, 'It has turned out to be quite scary. I recommend it to all those who think supernatural themes in Indian cinema are airy rather than eerie.' ... Where to bowl to Kane Williamson, and why: Back of length, width, cutters, left-arm spin
Some balls tend to kick up. Some others skid through. Both could potentially trouble Williamson. The New Zealand skipper has a penchant for dabbing such deliveries with an open face through backward point. While he's exceptionally clinical with this stroke, a staple in limited-over games, he sometimes tends to play away from the body, especially early in his innings. He shuffles across but his feet remain static, and he ends up stabbing at the ball. India hold the cards in semifinal against New Zealand Williamson also has a tendency to cramp himself by the shuffle — denying himself room to play the cut. A bit of away movement could pose further trouble, as his hands go fishing at the ball. Mostly, he gets caught behind or ends up lobbing the ball to backward point. He has also managed to bottom-edge and hack such balls, often when they keep low, onto his stumps. It's a ploy India has deployed against Williamson with a fair amount of success in the past. Both Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Mohammed Shami had nailed him while trying to play the aforementioned stroke in the series in New Zealand earlier this year. Bumrah is a deadlier exponent of this method, with his ability to make the ball leap off a length as well as make it scuttle inwards at knee height. Virat Kohli: I'll remind Kane Williamson about 2008 U-19 semis when we meet tomorrow So this line can effectively threaten both edges. But the margin for error is minuscule. Anything marginally fuller or shorter, Williamson gets into supreme positions to summon a range of glorious strokes. Length ball outside off-stump, dipping: Williamson is an exceptional player of spin bowling, but sometimes fails to gauge the dip of the ball, committing too early into the stroke. It's puzzling because he's someone who generally has a lot of time to play his shots. In the Pakistan game, he failed to decode Shadab Khan's dip and ended up lunging at a length ball from the crease. The ball floated invitingly for him to launch a cover-drive. But it stopped, dipped and spun away, inducing a faint edge to the 'keeper. Alarmingly enough, Shadab isn't quite masterly with the polished aspects of spin bowling. Kuldeep Yadav clearly is and could hypnotise batsmen with his drift and dip. And he deceived Williamson in a similar fashion in Napier at the start of the year when he made the acclaimed batsman reach out for a ball and miscue it. var embedId = {jw:[],yt:[],dm:[]};function pauseVideos(vid){var players=Object.keys(embedId); players.forEach(function (key){var ids=embedId[key]; switch (key){case "jw": ids.forEach(function (id){if (id !=vid){var player = jwplayer(id); if(player.getState() === "playing"){player.pause();}}}); break; case "yt": ids.forEach(function (id){if (id !=vid){id.pauseVideo();}}); break;case "dm": ids.forEach(function (id){if (id !=vid && !id.paused){id.pause();}}); break;}});}var ytOnLoadFn=[];function onYouTubePlayerAPIReady(){ytOnLoadFn.forEach(function(name){window[name]();});}function onYTEmbedLoad(ytp){embedId.yt.push(ytp);ytp.addEventListener("onStateChange", function(event){if(event.data === YT.PlayerState.PLAYING)pauseVideos(ytp);});}function pause(){pauseVideos()}function yt6uVHFxzC4Tc(){var p = new YT.Player("div_6uVHFxzC4Tc", {height: document.body.offsetWidth * (9/16),width: document.body.offsetWidth,videoId: "6uVHFxzC4Tc"}); onYTEmbedLoad(p)} ytOnLoadFn.push("yt6uVHFxzC4Tc"); Identical was how he consumed him in Mumbai in 2017. So has, even more spectacularly, Yuzvendra Chahal. This was homing in on middle stump and Williamson stepped out to smother the spin, only for the ball to land a few centimetres away from where he anticipated it would. That he has a problem getting to the pitch of the ball was further highlighted by Mehidy Hasan Miraz in the Bangladesh game. Left-arm kryptonite: Until recently, opposition skippers used to pack a left-arm spinner just to nullify Williamson's threat. Pragyan Ojha has devoured him three times in a row—and five times overall in four Tests. And he has had his struggles against Rangana Herath, Zulfiqur Babar, Sulieman Benn and Yuvraj Singh. Often, they used to encourage him into playing the cut shot, which he does uninhibitedly, before pushing one faster, back-of-length-ish and closer to the stumps. The ball looks cuttable, but is not. These days, he has curbed this impulse, until the delivery is where he wants it, but Ravindra Jadeja, if he plays, wouldn't mind testing his abstinence levels. Kane Williamson: Nice guy who came first Slower balls, cutters: A few times in this World Cup, Williamson hasn't exuded utter control in dealing with slower balls, especially the cutter variants, on the drive. Often, he makes late adjustments to avert the danger, like checking the drive, taking the bottom hand off the handle, or opening the bat face, and there have been instances when he has evaded the fielder's grasp by inches. All of Bumrah, Bhuvneshwar and Hardik Pandya are skilled at disguising their slower ones, besides slipping in an assortment of cutters. Their expertise could be lethal if the surface slows up. Ignore fake messages: WhatsApp is not shutting down and you don't have to pay either
To make the messages legit, some even came with 'Thank you — Google' sign-off. Given WhatsApp is owned by Facebook one wonders why Google would be sending messages about its fate. The messages are clearly fake and WhatsApp has not been banned or will be shut down 11:30 pm to 6 am daily, as some messages are claiming. Users should just ignore these messages and if their friends and family are forwarding them, it is perhaps best to inform them that these messages are fake and just spreading misinformation. One such fake message claimed that WhatsApp will be shut down from 11:30 pm to 6 am every day and this was directed by the central government and added that it had a message from Prime Minister Narendra Modi. It urged people to forward the message or else their WhatsApp account will be deactivated and they will be charged a certain amount to activate. Similar messages have been forwarded in the past when it comes to WhatsApp. The latest message, which claims to be from the central government goes on to mention the 'issue involving the pictures updates not showing'. It claims that WhatsApp will remain free only for those who are 'avid users' for which they will need to forward the message. Facebook, WhatsApp and Instagram go down for users: Here's what happened To reiterate, Facebook-owned WhatsApp has not officially said anything about the service being charged or banned. Neither the central government nor Google have been circulating messages that indicate this. This is not the first time that an outage has become an opportunity for some to circulate fake messages with misinformation. Coming to the outage itself, Facebook has said, was due to a bug, which was accidentally triggered during a routine maintenance operation. The servers were back on 100 per cent later in the night. The issue impacted users in India as well as in the US and Europe. On WhatsApp, many users complained they were not able to send or download images sent to them by contacts. 'Sound' proposition
Without having to install overhead speakers, Sony has made it possible to provide immersive sound for any form of content, from music to movies to games to sports. The concept of surround sound means the horizontal circulation of sound from the source, giving a perception that sound is travelling to your ears from the sides as well as the centre. With the HT-Z9F, Sony has incorporated a proprietary technology -- Vertical Sound Engine -- where the sound bounces top to bottom to provide a vertical flow. In conjunction with regular front surround, the vertical surround adds a new dimension where sound now flows from sides as well as the top, completing the aural experience. We spent some time playing different types of content and discovered that it works best with a better quality of sound. Content that was created with Dolby Atmos in mind (which currently stands at around 500 titles in 8 Indian languages), sounds very impressive and immersive. Interestingly, the 5.1 channel sound bar is able to beef up content which has basic HD sound or older titles that have not-so-impressive sound, by invoking a real-time software algorithm that analysis the different elements of sound and boosts the right component. Sony has also added functionality for both Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant, which means you can speak your commands to skip a track, increase volume etc -- and also use the soundbar orally, to get any other information. Design-wise, the Sony HT-Z9F is minimalistic and sleek, and for all of its features and a specially designed remote with easy preset buttons, it is available from this week for Rs 59,990: an ideal buy for those who take their video content viewing seriously. If you are truly fastidious when it comes to sound, Sony also offers a pair of matched rear speakers (SA -Z9R) for Rs 9990 extra. ...
