Jalebi actor Varun Mitra turns football coach for ZEE5's Bombers

Director Vishal Puri had watched me on Ted Talks where I spoke about a football memory. Sapna Pabbi (Breathe actress) had also mentioned my name and they got inquisitive," he said. The actor, a Delhi boy, said he plays cricket, table tennis and squash, but had to brush up techniques before shooting. "We had a coach and I had to work on a free kick. I put in eight hours of practice every day. In Mumbai we play for 90 minutes on a small turf. The shooting took me back to school days. "We are as much a football-crazy country as we are mad for cricket. Living in urban cities, we have access to designated turfs and grounds. But while scouting locations for the show, we realised there is a genuine dearth of proper football fields across small-town India. The fields that exist are not maintained and are risky to play on. I hope, through our show, people get inspired to create and preserve more grounds," he added. Speaking about hisfuture plans, Varun said he "would love to do a biopic, maybe on a cricketer like Virat (Kohli)" some day. Explained: What is deepfake?

In June this year, a deepfake video surfaced that showed Mark Zuckerberg saying that he is in total control of the stolen data of billions of people. Deepfakes are created by machine learning models, which use neural networks to manipulate images and videos. A model such as this 'analyses video footage until it is able algorithmically to transpose the 'skin' of one human face on to the movements of another — as if applying a latex mask,' a separate report in The Guardian said. The debate around 'deepfakes' has been rekindled recently with the popularity of applications such as FaceApp (for photo-editing) and DeepNude ( that produces fake nudes of women). Creative freedom curtailed: Santhanam

This mocks Brahmin practices and Brahmin women and deliberately provokes enmity between caste groups, they said. Speaking at the promo meet of the film, Santhanam said, 'The film talks about the love between a local North Chennai boy Saravanan played by me and a Brahmin girl essayed by Tara Alisha Berry as Ramya. The humour should revolve within these two characters. And people come to a Santhanam movie to enjoy the comedy. And any comedy can be spiced up only when there's a conflict. And if you notice from the days of ace comedians like Charlie Chaplin, Laurel and Hardy, Nagesh, Goundamnai and Senthil, and Vadivelu, humour works to a large extent when you allow them to perform counter reactions, be they dialogues or through body language. And that's precisely what Johnson, the director of the film, has incorporated in A1. A teaser is meant for teasing and we did not have any intention of hurting the sentiments of anyone. And when you watch the film, you would know.' Santa, who has shed oodles of kilos quickly, adds that as an actor he also has social responsibility as what to portray on screen. 'That's why I apologised when people pointed out that my first look poster of my yet another upcoming film Dacaalti which had me holding a cigar, and that might promote smoking as we know that it's injurious to health. I also ensured that my future films would never carry such posters.' Santa has been opting for young and upcoming Bollywood girls as his romantic pair ever since he turned a hero. He explained, 'They give time whenever we want and they fit our bill as well, which is not the case with heroines from here. Tara has done a great job in A1.' Hailing composer Santhosh Narayanan who is normally associated with biggies he said, 'After Santhosh was roped in, the scale of A1 has gone up multiple times. I was glad when Santhosh sir said that after Soodhu Kavvum, it was A 1's script which excited him. Santhosh said he was fascinated by Johnson's script.' Lokayukta pulls up officials after students' protest sewage issue

Officials were given two weeks to check the school and take remedial steps. A teacher from the school said, "The Public Works Department and BBMP authorities were informed about the sewage leak. However, after the Lokayukta's intervention, the repairs started and students were given two days leave with the consent of Block Education Officer to allow the authorities to complete the work. Sumps, toilets and the school premises were cleaned. A new sewage line is being laid to avoid the entry of water into the school premises." "We are happy that the Lokayukta took suo-moto cognizance on knowing about the condition of the school," she said, thanking the Lokayukta Police Inspectors TV Manjunath and Basavaraj, who have been inspecting the work. Speaking to The New Sunday Express, Manjunath, who visited the spot, said, "The authorities, who undertook the work, have assured us that they will complete the work in three days. For the time being, till the completion of work, sewage is being diverted through a temporary pipeline." Sources confirmed the cause of the sudden leak. "A telecom company was setting up its cables underground. The work damaged the underground drainage pipes, causing a reverse flow of drainage, which seeped into the school compound during the rains. A complaint has been registered at local K R Puram police station against the telecom company for negligence while laying their lines," said the source. With defections, the logic of democracy is breached

efections are not new in Indian politics; the rate of jersey changes has not only been increasing but also becoming more open. There is obviously nothing but ethical considerations to stop politicians from changing sides en masse immediately after the elections endow any one party with overwhelming dominance. As in the case of the BJP, particularly after the 2019 Lok Sabha polls. Besides, it is not as if legislators have not changed parties earlier for material considerations, but the BJP is far better endowed in this sphere than its rivals. A democratic polity being the least of its concerns, the BJP makes no secret of its hunger to occupy the entire Opposition space. For that it is also reputed to be using methods other than crude material ones; regular raids by various investigative agencies on the houses of Opposition leaders, for example, are suggestive of its other strategies. Ethics are the same for everyone: the dissidents are as much to blame as any party that rewards their desertion. The fallen Karnataka government is only 14 months old, and the BJP had been targeting the ruling position since the assembly elections in 2018. Then the party had been called first by the governor to form the government, but had failed to beat the numbers of the JD(S)-Congress coalition. The invocation of ethics, however, must be put in the context of democratic procedure. A democracy is a government formed by the people's will. After people vote a party to power, their will is overturned when their elected leaders change sides. The logic of democracy is breached. It had been occurring off and on, not without protest, but since 2014 the erasure of Opposition space by foul means or fair has grown into a steady corrosion of democratic process and practice. Ethics in this case, therefore, is not only pertinent to the actions of individuals or parties, but also, and more acutely, to the future of the country. 1695062 1681819 DailyhuntDisclaimer: This story is auto-aggregated by a computer program and has not been created or edited by Dailyhunt. Your audio bud-dy

Once removed, they sync with each other -- and through an app-- with your mobile phone. After that, it's touch all the way on the sides of the ear buds: a short touch to take a call or stop it; a longer tap to move from one music tap to the next; a double tap on left or right bud to decrease or increase the volume and three taps to activate the voice assistant, Google Assistant or Siri, depending on whether your phone is Android or iPhone. And yes, the sound is cool too -- or should I say hot, as the bass is nicely boosted. The whole thing shouts 'class' and costs Rs 3999. The box proclaims: 'Proudly designed in India'. Amen to that. ... DailyhuntDisclaimer: This story is auto-aggregated by a computer program and has not been created or edited by Dailyhunt.
