Who is Buzz Aldrin?
Aldrin landed on the 'Sea of Tranquility' in the Apollo 11 lunar module, Eagle, on July 20, 1969, along with Spacecraft commander Neil Armstrong, becoming one of the first men to land on the Moon. This year, America will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the astonishing feat. Hailed as an American hero, Aldrin joined the Air Force after graduation and flew 66 combat missions in Korea. He later joined MIT, earning a Doctorate of Science in Astronautics. In 2017, Aldrin said NASA's Mars mission should aim to reach new milestones under the Trump presidency. The NASA funding bill, supporting Mars exploration, had set a target of 2033 for an unmanned mission, the Guardian reported. At the Humans to Mars Summit that year, Aldrin had said: 'I think we can all say with confidence that we are closer to Mars today than we have ever been.' The former astronaut is locked in a legal battle with two of his children who say he is suffering from mental decline. He was absent from a gala celebrating 50th anniversary of the first moon landing, even though his nonprofit space education foundation, ShareSpace Foundation, was a sponsor and he typically is the star attraction, AP reported. Aldrin had sued his children and a former business manager, accusing them of misusing his credit cards, transferring money from an account and slandering him by saying he has dementia. Only weeks before the lawsuit, his children had filed a petition claiming their father was suffering from memory loss, delusions, paranoia and confusion. Not so cool, say Rajinikanth & Ajith fans

'And I used to be quite fond of Ajith back then - I don't know if he's still around, though,' said the actress. Wagner registers 1st-time ever 5th rank in ICC Test rankings
He currently stands on the fifth position with 801 points. Wagner is now the top-ranked bowler from his country but Boult has also gained one slot to reach the seventh position after taking seven wickets in the victory in Wellington. Cancer drugs prove lethal for diabetics
Predominantly in diabetic patients, prevalence of different types of cancers like pancreas, liver, breast, colorectal, urinary tract, female reproductive organs is reasonably high. In every four diabetic patients, the possibility of one getting affected with cancer is more. Insulin is a hormone that is responsible for allowing glucose in the blood to enter cells, imparting them with the energy to function. If insulin is given to a diabetic patient suffering from cancer, the steroids which are prescribed as a part of cancer treatment will worsen the condition of the patients. Speaking about the issue, Dr Sai Ram, an oncologist from MNJ Cancer Hospital said, 'The insulin should be given after having some food rather than the usual case wherein the insulin is given to diabetic patients before the consumption of food. Instead of long acting insulin injections, short acting insulin injection should be given to the patients who are suffering from both cancer and diabetes.' Speaking about the treatment of cancer leading to Type 2 diabetes, Dr Sai Ram further added, 'Androgen-deprivation therapy (ADT) with luteinizing hormone-releasing hormone agonists for prostate cancer, are linked with increased risk of the development of type 2 diabetes, possibly due to loss of insulin sensitivity.' Speaking about the medication give to diabetes patients, Dr Ravi Shankar, an endocrinologist said, 'Few medications used in treatment of diabetes have an increased association with certain cancers such as pancreatic and urinary bladder cancer. Salman Khan to promote tourism, heritage in MP
Recently, there have been demands from some Congress quarters that Salman Khan be made a Lok Sabha candidate from Madhya Pradesh, though there is no confirmation from the party about it too. Notably, Salman Khan had addressed poll meetings and conducted road shows in support of Kamal Nath in Chhindwara Lok Sabha constituency in 2009 when the latter fought Lok Sabha elections as a Congress candidate. He was then union minister for Commerce and Industries. Addressing poll meetings at Damua, Amarwada, Chourai, Pandhurna and Sounsar, he had appealed to people to ensure the victory of Nath by a huge margin.
