Saree code for the festival season
Master weavers had been engaged in Phulia, the seat of the Bengali saree, and in Dhaniakhali, to recreate antique patterns in new fabric. The weavers were supplied with new yarns and designs. As they worked at their looms, the trademark "Ananda Tangail" became born.Soon after got here the block- and display screen-published silks. "Kalka", "Scroll" and "Bobby Dots" supposed some thing unique for the girls of Calcutta, as did the hand-embroidered Ananda panjabis and dhotis for the gents. From the beginning, Ananda has worked closely with the weaver households of Benares. Ananda's designers have worked with them on every element of saree-making: patterns, color palettes, thread counts, yarns and zari.Such near collaboration with the grasp weavers over decades had resulted in "gemstones" that the boutique is happy with: 'keri', 'bael buti', 'kinkhaab', 'konia', 'jamdaani', 'shikargah', 'leheriya' or 'kadhwa'. Ananda boasts of those patterns in more than a few fabric, together with katan silk, crepe silk, tussar, kora and cotton.Master weavers from other components of the united states of america, inclusive of Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu, have also worked with Ananda to create masterpieces: cottons, silks, crepe de chines, Kanjivarams, Ikkats. Each saree is a story, into that have been woven the work, the lives and the imagination of generations of a master weaver's family. Here, the models are carrying six of Ananda's designs. We notion of suggesting to the readers a saree code for the Pujas.
