Rs 243 crore Gaja relief disbursed in Thanjavur district
A sum of Rs 508.34 crore has been allotted for disbursing to farmers for crop damage. In that, a sum of Rs 58.34 crore had been disbursed to 14,512 coconut farmers. A sum of Rs 3.29 crore has been allotted for providing relief to farmers, whose horticulture crops had been damaged. Out of this amount, a sum of Rs 1.49 crore had been disbursed to 2,792 farmers. The collector appealed to the people affected by 'Gaja' cyclone and who have not received relief to approach the taluk and agriculture offices in their area for getting the relief. ...
