Hundreds of people who've taken stores on rent along the river bank have misplaced their cash. "I had goods really worth `7 lakh in my shop and everything were given destroyed," Soman said including he had taken the store on a three-12 months rent for `eight lakh. "We don't have any idea whether we will get any repayment for the loss. Neither the Travancore Devaswom Board (TDB) nor the government has responded to our plea," said vendor Abhin Shah of Perunad. TDB officers stated no decision has been considering regard to the loss suffered via the store vendors. "Nearly 70 stores, consisting of accommodations functioned alongside the banks of the Pampa and everything is damaged," they stated. Dailyhunt
